Rental Space

The Kirkland Woman’s Club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC). We are a non-profit organization that unites women for charitable, community, cultural, educational, and environmental purposes.  Our charming little clubhouse was built in 1925 and is on the State and National Historical Registries.  This building housed the first Kirkland Library and a children’s clinic, and now we share this 100-year-old gem and its history with the community.  We hope you enjoy your visit and treat it with care.

About the Space

·       One large room (45’x28’) with one bathroom

·       Fits up to of 89 people or 75 people seated

·       (11) 60” round tables, (6) 30x72” banquet tables, 64 banquet style and 24 plastic chairs

·       Two electric fireplaces, original 1925 chandeliers and sconces for warm lighting

·       1895 Steinway piano (with approved usage)

·       Warming kitchen (no cooking permitted)

·       Caterers welcome; large prep table and fridge space

·       Free Wi-Fi 

·       Projection screen available (you provide projector and cables)

·       Plenty of parking on surface streets and nearby city lots (after business hours)

Rental Details

·       2-hour minimum rental

·       Hours are 8am-11pm     

o   Rental time must include your set-up/clean-up time

o   Monday-Thursday rates: $80/hour, Friday-Sunday & holiday rates: $100/hour

·       $300 refundable security deposit / $25 non-refundable application fee

·       You must remove your own trash or pay a fee to use our trash bins

·       No candles, sparklers, confetti/rice, or tape on the walls

·       No smoking or vaping in building

·       Amplified sound must conform to sound ordinance and quiet time starts at 10 pm

·       Alcohol limited to beer/wine only (with permit)

·       Payment and contract required to hold rental date; rentals 6 months in advance maximum

·       WA State Liquor & Cannabis Board

o   Banquet permit required through WA State if beer/wine served (invite-only events)

o   Special Event permit required if alcohol being sold (charitable events, auction)

·       Certificate of Liability Insurance (COLI) required ($2M aggregate/$1M occurrence) for higher risk events:

o   This is simple documentation through your insurance company or

o   We can provide links to vendors that offer one-day insurance policies

·   Certificate of Liability Insurance (COLI) required for caterers  $1M

·       Cancellation Policy: application fee is non-refundable

o   Greater than 60 days: $25 application fee and $25 administration fee forfeited

o   30-60 days prior to rental date: 50% of rental fee and application fee forfeited

o   Less than 30 days: 100% of rental fee and application fee forfeited. Only the security deposit is refundable.

·       Payment: Required in full 30 days prior to your event by either:

o   Zelle: kwc407@gmail.com  

o   Credit card on KWC site

o   Check mailed or dropped off to locked mailbox: 407 1st St, Kirkland, WA 98033
